LOCATION: Highway 34 at milepost 79 (Larimer County)

On 5-11-08 at approximately 5:01 P.M. Troopers responded to the eastbound lane of highway 34.

A black 1984 Yamaha Motorcycle was traveling eastbound on highway 34. The vehicle lost control and went off the right side of the road and came to final rest completely off the roadway. The driver was ejected and came to rest on the roadway.

The driver has been identified as Timothy Imhoff, 38 of Loveland, CO.
Imhoff sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies by ambulance.
Imhoff was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and currently he has been diagnosed as critical.
No other vehicles or citizens were involved with this incident.

Alcohol, drugs and speed are not suspected as contributing factors.

Next of kin have been notified.
More information will be released as it becomes available.

The Loveland newspaper had him listed this morning as critical at McKee, must have gone to MCR later. McKee was wondering why the med supervisor wanted full trauma team activation there instead of MCR. He told them it was closer.

If you notice the above CSP press release has him going to MCR also, they are the level II for Northern Colorado these days after all.

Yeah, that's why I found it odd that they said they would go to McKee. I never did hear on the radio where they went.
