Has anyone heard that Moscow and Latah County will change from 460 to 150? I was told by a search and rescue member they would change before winter.

Doing an FCC license search shows new 150 MHz licenses have been issued to Moscow PD on 11/7/09 WQLA210 and to Latah Sheriff on 2/6/10 WQKR536.

But several N. Idaho counties have also been getting new licenses in the 150 range for the last several years. Information was provided in the following link that these new frequencies were for a backup system to the 700 MHz P25 statewide system when it is eventually implemented.

Here in E. Idaho the 150 MHz radios for fire & EMS have been linked into the 700 system so either a 700 or a 150 radio can be used and/or talk to each other.

It will be interesting to see if Latah does switch from 460 to 150.

If 460 MHz has problems under those conditions, then 700MHz would likely have even worse coverage problems.

Why is the Moscow Police Radio Reference offline so often? It is offline today. Last week was offline about 2 days. Also, when it is online, there is a link to report a problem. When offline, the 'report a problem' button disappears. Seems it should be just the opposite.

Since the feed is back up now, maybe you should ask the feed provider this question while the link is working.

Moscow Police Department has moved to a new VHF frequency within the last few days. There is still some Latah County Sheriff traffic on the Radio Reference link to MPD, but no MPD traffic. Will the links be updated to include the new MPD frequency?

Moscow Police Radio Reference Live Feed

Thanks for the info on the new Moscow Police Department VHF frequencies. Is there a link to these new frequencies in Radio Reference Live Feed? I just checked the Moscow Police link and it is still showing 460.475. Thanks,

You can submit the new freqs to the database.

Has anyone determined what each of the new freqs is being used for, ie dispatch, car-car, etc)?

The database doesn't get updated unless someone submits new data to the DBA that is verified to be in currently in use. Anyone can submit these new frequencies to update the RR database. Just click on the Submit link in the upper left part of the Latah County database page and follow the example as best you can.

Last night, I submitted frequencies 154.4525 and 154.4450 for Moscow Police Dept to the RR database using the SUBMIT button. The submission was rejected by kd7kdc for the reason:" >>> Not sure how you obtained these frequencies.' Tonight I personally checked and found steady MPD traffic on 154.4450 so will re-submit just that frequency. In the mean time, RR is still saying MPD is using 460.4750, but, as usual, it is OFFLINE. Stay tuned....

It looks like they have now been added to the DB.

MPD Live Audio update?

Thanks Dave. Nice to see 154.445 was added to the database along with others. How long does it take to be added to the Live Audio in RR?

Definitely ready for FOOTBALL. Vandals are awesome! But also ready for the Moscow Police and Latah County Sheriff Live Audio Feed to WORK! I have done numerous "Report a Problem" posts. But again tonight, it says it is ONLINE, but there is NOTHING broadcast. I'm thinking the relay person NEVER listens to the Live Audio to make sure it is working. Can we petition for a new relay person??

The Moscow Idaho Police Live Feed has been offline nearly the whole month of October. The local Live Feed provider does not accept email or private messages; even though he states "Added new antenna for scanner after Moscow PD changed frequency. Let me know if you want me to add Moscow Fire and Ambulance." Wonder how we would let him know since he won't accept messages and has been offline for so many days. The Radio Reference Live Feed quality control is appalling at best. I would like to know when the Moscow Live Feed will be restored.
