Keep in mind that Laughlin is just across the river from Bullhead City, AZ and Mohave County. There is plenty to monitor from this area, some of which is even heard in Kingman.

A lot of casinos are now DMR . So if you (like me) are still analog you may be a bit restricted. The river boats in front of Riverside Casino are using maritime channels.
I believe metro police and fire are DMR.
Have fun. Lots to do.

For the Laughlin area the Clark Co Fire Department utilizes the County trunked radio system, called SNACC which is a P25 Phase 1 system. The following two sites cover Laughlin, NV and they are:
Oatman Mountain (Just East of Bullhead City, AZ, looking down on Laughlin): 854.1625, 857.1875, 857.4625, 858.4625, and 859.4625
Spirit Mountain (Just a bit Northeast of Laughlin, NV, looking down on it: 854.1625, 856.9875, 857.1875, 858.4625, and 859.4625.

If you load all of the above frequencies you are not likely to miss anything on the SNACC system for the Laughlin area. Control channels are changeable and these are current. The Radio Ref. Database has a listing of talkgroups for the system, but if you have the radio programmed in an open or search mode for the system you will hear anything from those two sites and there is usually not much traffic in the rural areas.

Unfortunately, the LVMPD, about one year ago encrypted all of their channels except for certain mutual aid patches to other agencies.

You may enjoy some conventional channels in that area including the Nevada Dept. of Wildlife (includes boating enforcement activities on the river utilizing 151.475 with dispatch in Reno and their channel 3 is 151.460, a simplex channel. I also believe that AZ Game & Fish uses 151.460 as a remote base for boating enforcement in that area.

Some other monitoring activity may include the following:
BLM Law Enf. 164.7500 P25 NAC 526h
BLM Fire 169.7750
BLM Eastern CA near the river 166.3750
National Park Service LMNRA South Area 167.1250

I do not believe that the NDF covers any territory in that part of Southern Nevada. The closest NDF station would likely be up on Mt. Charleston which is Northwest of the Las Vegas area. NDF has a much larger area of responsibility in Northern Nevada.
