The 460.2125 frequency is listed in the FCC database as being used for "FOR DRUG UNIT DAILY COMMUNICATIONS".

Both 460.2125 and 453.5125 operate under the same callsign with all of the same notes on the FCC paperwork.

Info from good source. They will have 3 channels. All P25 and encrypted capable. Patrol 1 will be P25 and enc. capable; Patrol 2 will be p25 and encrypted. Detectives will be p25 encrypted. Ch. 16 will be narc use ONLY. Same as Lowell and Methuen for patrol. Enough traffic in Lawrence to support detectives channel and Narcotic channels.

Auxiliary channels are not effected. The first set 155.370/156.210 has had a lot of interference on both sides from NH and MA. So they got a second set which is in use now.

Channels 3-15 are Areawide 3, Areawide 4, Nemlec 4, Bapern N/W, and a couple splinters.

I have heard that the 155.37 frequency may have been picked up by the Methuen FD and the 156.210 frequency has been picked up by the Lawrence FD for use at fire scenes as a mobile repeater.

155.370 is plagued with interference from Newmarket, NH and some other cities. 156.210 which was the imput was hammered by an ambulance dispatch and data bursts. While not all the time, it made sense to get new frequencies.

I've heard thru the grapevine of many uses for these, but none have materialized yet.

Switched (?) over to digital tonite. Dispatch is not P25. portables 100%, most cars. If car does not have new radio officers using portables. Fair for first night. As in some cases in digital some are good, some not. Lots of echos. Dispatch asking repeatedly to repeat. Some portables not making it to repeater or receivers. But the officers don't know and dispatch isn't hearing them. maybe when bugs are worked out it will be ok.

Does anyone happen to know what the NAC will be for 482.56250? Or do I just leave as is?

The updating of the P25E listing on 482.5625 contains a typo error. The callsign of KYR 965 actually belongs to a Dallas , TX School District. I think that the callsign should be KYR956. Also, how can an expired radio license be upgraded? That license expired about 7 years ago.

RR Data is in there by submission from users.
IF in error, click on "Submit" within the DB itself to get it fixed.

They are using Methuen's license. WQON661. DB has been updated to reflect this.

Thanks Mike

Folks need to report some of those errors thru the Submit process
Fat Fingers happen and the system doesn't track expired/cancelled licenses.

First review is as follows, I realize there are bugs to be worked out, However the biggest thing I have noticed are units going"Digital" When trying to communicate,Which seems to be a common problem with most P-25 systems,,The clarity however is incredible and really booms out.I wouldn't be surprised if they add more recievers around the city to boost reception.

It would be nice if the citizens could enjoy the system that we supposedly paid $952,000 for! And by enjoy, I don't mean listening to "Kkssshshhsk!"
