I had heard that the P25 towers were going to be on the same towers as the 900mhz ones. So I would think that there would be a second P25 tower somewhere in the Comal area

I think this is generally the case, but we're seeing much better coverage with this system, so I bet some are stand alone 700MHz sites.

Looks like Cibolo will be getting P25 radios here soon, heard some techs on TG 11 testing radios in the Cibolo area and trying to figure out which site will be their primary and which sites will be roaming. From what they were saying it was bouncing back and forth from the Live Oak tower to the New Braunfels tower more than they had thought. Cibolo is a tricky area but finally being able to roam between sites will help them out a lot. Wonder if the old vhf patch will still be up after they make the switch.

Thanks for the update. I Guess the repeater will be shut down after Cibolo moves. I will be on the look out for new Cibolo tgs.

Schertz has patched Cibolo FD to the p25 site from time to time. The TG is in the database. Other than that Cibolo PD may get a talk or ops channel but they will still be dispatched by Schertz.

The Schertz repeater on 159.1200 MHz is patch to tg 218 on the old Live Oak system and tg 12103 on the p25 system all of the time.

Yeah they do that because some of the Cibolo officers still have vhf handhelds and car radios and some have non P25 EDACS radios. I think Schertz made the jump to P25 a lot faster than Cibolo had thought they would.

The New Braunfels control channel is gone today, did a quick scan through the 700mhz band and only get a couple of the SAUA Control Channels. the Live Oak CC in the 800mhz side is working as normal. Weird thing is I am getting New Braunfels FD patch coming through on the Live Oak side.

I just ran pro96com on the New Braunfels site the other day. The last few days pro96com has found alot of new tgs on the Live Oak site. I have not heard anything on them yet.

I also heard Cibolo officers using new radios this morning. I am looking for new Cibolo tgs. The New Braunfels site is still showing up as a neighboring site for the Live Oak site. The cc is still the same. I can't hear the New Braunfels cc at this time.

Seeing key ups on 12115, 12119 and 12118.. I am sure these are Cibolo TGs they are in line with the FD TG on 12111.

And I normally get the NB site full signal but right now, nothing at all. Maybe the are working on the tower since all of the activity is on the LIve Oak site right now until NB makes the swith. I will only hear TGs on the NB site every once and awhile either random patch TGs or Live Oak primary.

Yeah I caught that, talking about how the NBFD VHF patch was working again and how the LCRA had to get their P25 radios to stay on the Live Oak Tower so their radio could work. Guess they are doing something with the NB Tower.

154.1300 MHz isn't obsolete yet. They've used it in all the past flood events. They're also licensed 151.0100, 151.0400, 154.3100 on the same license (KKV500). 151.0400 is the input to 154.1300, the other two I'm not sure about. Check all of those.
