    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. I've been trying to monitor the Creedmoor and San Marcos sites for the past couple of days trying to figure out some talkgroups not listed in the Database.

382 Meter readers? Caldwell Co? talking about Old colony line rd

338 Power crews?

793 unid

1350 unid

307 unid

Also, the LCN for the Creedmoor site doesn't seem correct. When listening to my Pro-93 on the creedmoor site, I pick up LCN 1 through LCN 5 just fine, but above that, my scanner won't track it. It keeps jumping around showing various LCN numbers, but I don't hear any traffic.

Can anyone in within the range of these sites assist with identifying some of these mystery talkgroups? Also, there should be several more additions to the hays co talkgroups and most public safety agencies are slowly migrating onto the system.

Thanks,

Currently I am able to monitor San Marcos Sheriff Department on LCRA Austin/Dobie sit 903. I am in basement in downtown Austin with my BCD 396T scanner.

Also the numbers that you have listed for Talk Group ID's may not be right on the EDAC's system. The Talk Group ID that I am using for the San Marcos Sheriff's Department is 06-011.

I went through a major reprogramming of my LCRA sites last night and it improved my ability to monitor LCRA site all over.

Sorry about that. I was using DEC numbering for the above talkgroups

382 = 02-156

338 = 02-100

793 = 06-029

1350 = 10-086

307 = 02-063

You are right at the control channel being wrong on the Creedmore LCRA site. I was able monitor it by rotating through the frequencies.

This is not really LCRA EDACS but I pick-up some Creedmore in the Apco-25 TRavis County
system every now and again. The freq I have that shows that ID is 867.21250 MHz MOT.

I was surprosed that I could get it on 1/4 Wave cut for 866MHz, let alone the 800MHz ducky...

73's,
Jon

Aarron,
The most confusing thing here is the "Pro-93" comment, I assume you mean Pro-97.

Just posted talkgroup 745 to the database as Kyle fire. I heard Fire/EMS responding to a medical call and 2 units went to this talkgroup and called it "Kyle Fire". We also have TG 786 as Kyle Fire. When Hays Co dispatched this call, I heard the dispatcher on this talkgroup (786) as well as on talkgroup 625 which shows to be the VHF patch.

My updated BCD 396T programmed with the new LCRA information on the Creedmoor site is working great. I can receive Hays County, New Braunfels, Gillespie County and the Cities of Klye and San Marcos from my office in down town Austin, Tx.
