Led light on top of scanner and priority

Can anyone help me with the following please I'm UK based and would like to know how I can get the LED light to come on and also how to get the priority to work as I don't know how to get it on.

Really helps people help you if you include the model of scanner you are using. While there are some very helpful people on here none of the (as far as I know) are mind readers.
