Sumter County, FL. has posted a notice of "Request for Proposals for Sumter County P-25 Digital Public Safety Radio Network." All bids are due by Nov. 4, 2011.

Nice. Yet another county about to blow a colossal amount of taxpayer dinero on a new system when all they had to do is upgrade their existing equipment to narrowband specs. Hope they don't mimic Lake County.

You know they will. They are already using part of the system. I wonder if they will make it a bigger 2 county system?
