• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I've been trying to pick up the Lehigh University Police, without any luck so far. I've monitored the Lehigh LTR system, but it doesn't seem to carry the Police communications. I've also been monitoring the 155.49, which is the county mutual aid frequency according to the database, and the Lehigh TG's on the Bethlehem TRS (1744 & 1840) without any luck. If anyone has any suggestions with this, it would be appreciated.

They operate on the Bethlehem City trunk system. Their dispatch is on talkgroup 1744 and their 'tac' talkgroup is 1840. Also of note, when there is a fire or ems call on campus, the repsonding fd and ems units will many times switch over and communicate with the campus pd on talkgroup 1744.

I would also add that talkgroups 1808 and 1904 appear to me to be Lehigh University realted also from my monitoring.

You will also hear the Moravian College patrols on talkgroups 816 and 848.

Here is the link to the system info:

PS - The Lehigh LTR system seems to be mostly related to events, parking and other such activities, other than policing, from my monitoring.

I should have also mentioned that I monitor the Bethelem City trunk system off of the South Mountain site (866.13750 866.80000 867.07500* 867.82500* 868.55000* 868.80000* ).

I cannot confirm that these talkgroups are carried on both sites, though I would be surprised if they were not.
