What is going on with the Lexington Viper site as I am not able to pick it up now? I have it in my uniden 796D Uniden HP1 and Pro668 and Uniden996p2 and can not get nothing. Was working fine until about two days ago. If anyone knows please let me know.
Thanks

The Lexington and Welcome sites were combined into a simulcast and new frequencies are in use. Change out the old 853.5000 & 852.9000 frequencies and replace them with 770.55625, 773.20625, 769.55625, & 772.40625.

Do you have any idea why none of the Davidson County traffic is carried on the Riverdale Viper Tower in Guilford County? It shows up as an adjacent site and I have previously heard Davidson County traffic on it.

Randolph is very active on Riverdale and the Davidson sites. And Davie County is all over the Davidson sites.

And as luck would have it, at the office, I'm just out of range of the Thomasville site without a major antenna upgrade. (At home I can just about get the Thomasville site without an antenna!)

Davidson county traffic is probably not going over a guiltiest county site because sites are county specific and will only carry traffic on it if a unit is affiliated on it

From just south of Salisbury, Site 45 (the new Davidson Simulcast) is coming in at three out of four bars on all my G-series pagers.
(Two of the pagers have the stock antenna and one has the higher-gain antenna. The signal strength is the same on all three.)
I really didn't think the site would come in that strong here because I only had one bar from the old Lexington Site.

Have you noticed, Is the High Rock Site - now correctly listed in the RRDB as a Rowan County site - carrying Davidson County traffic?

Hence my confusion because I have heard what limited Davidson traffic there has been pretty regularly on Riverdale. And Randolph and Davie Counties have always been carried in full on the Davidson sites.

Total speculation on this.....but here goes.

Davidson Traffic - With Thomasville now having a site on line, Riverdale is no longer needed for them. I'm betting however the Randolph restriction is due to possible capacity concerns.

Davie Traffic - probably an admin agreement based on overall usage. Also with the Tyro site, it's probably enhanced a lot of Davie's eastside coverage.

Again total speculation!

Well it’s a VIPER site, part of the statewide system. Individual county talkgroups are carried on the home county, plus 1 county outside their home county ONLY if there is an affiliation on that particular channel on that particular tower. So this site probably did enhance some of Davies east side, but since it is in the county next to Davie, the talkgroups can roam over there

Correct,

And Randolph adjoins Davidson in the same way. Which leads me to believe that perhaps Randolph TGs aren’t given permission to affiliate with the “Davidson Simulcast”.

I thought I had a screenshot-screengrab of unitrunker showing a Randolph TG getting denied while a Davie TG was allowed to affiliate, in the midst of Davidson County and State Tgs.

I guess I should delete the lexington and welcome sites from the pro 668 ,996p2 , and hp1 then. Also when will I be able to do a new update from RR for the HP1 as that is the only way to update it? One last question is randolph and davie talkgroups on the new site?

Yes on site deletions. However when you do the updates, you may only get the new "site" as some TGs seem to have changed or be "repurposed".
Davie has been hitting it hard, As of this morning, Randolph seems to be affiliating as well.

Meh... I must be too dumb to figure this out, I have a pro 668 and a bcd325p2 and can't figure out how to get either one working...

Anybody want to buy some scanners? LOL

why do I have to have a mod approval when I post every time?
