Anyone have information on the 5 big mall FREQUENCIES on Long Island. Plan on taking a trip and would love to hear some action.

1- Rooseveltfield Security: Main Security Channel w/ PL
2-The Source Mall-Westbury: Main Security Channel w/ PL
3-Walt Whitman Mall-Huntington Station: Main Security channel w/ PL
4-Smithaven Mall-Lake Grove-Main Security Frequency w/ PL
5-Tanger Outlet-Riverhead-Main Security Channel w/ PL

If you guys have the housekeeping or maintanance frequencies as well that would be exciting to listen to as well. I love to keep these in my Uniden Trunktracker portable for when I head into these areas on the Island because of my traveling schedule.

Any help with be appreciated.

Thanks a million.

Uhm, if those TX PL/DPL are correct, I would remove them and not leave them available ... unscrupulous people may attempt to use them ... just a friendly warning.

Whats so top secret about mall security frequencies?? I doubt anyone would like to sabotage mall security!!!!!!

I'm not talking about the recieve stuff, he has transmit PL/DPL's listed there ... it is against FCC rules to transmit on channels that one is not authorized to.

Almost all of the public safety entries in the vast database here give the PL/DPL (which, incidentally, is almost always the same for RX/TX), as well as the input frequency for any repeaters. Should all those be censored as well? I'd be more concerned with someone interfering with PD/FD/EMS ops before I'd start worrying about them screwing with mall security.

It's also against the law to commit armed robbery, so should we stop selling any objects that could be used as a weapon just in case someone decides to use them for sinister purposes?

Listen I wasn't trying to start a flame-fest ... Just pointing out the obvious fact that advertising the fact that the Input and Output PL/DPL's are the same is just not a smart thing to do. Wouldn't want someone to get hurt because security, or in a more worse case as you pointed out PD/FD/EMS was jammed.

I'm ending my comments on the subject here, I just said it would be better to not advertise the transmit PL/DPL information.

Still waiting for an answer to my origional POST!!!

I appreciate your concern, but I still have yet to get an answer for Roosevelt Filed and The Source Mall so I can LISTEN to them without hearing other transmissions on those frequencies which are NOT IN ENGLISH!!! Can somebody provide me this information if you can look it up, I have exhausted all my searches on the web for the RCV PL's. To the Gatekeeper, I understand the FCC laws too, that wasn't my purpose in this posting. I just don't want to hear all the other crap when I go into the area near the malls. Like the other responses that have been submitted, I think we should be more concerned with homeland security when the availablity of ATF, DEA, FBI and NYC to Easten Long Island links are posted and available on the web for those that do wrong. Lets examine this for a minute. If you look up any of the PD frequencies, especially NYPD all the pl/DPL's are listed for all the boroughs, pcts and citywide agencies. Whats wrong with this picture? NYC is on the #1 list for terrorist attacks, don't you think these should be eliminted from blogs and web sites too?

I agree with Gatekeep........because a certain 18 year old who posts regularly on here was recently arrested by the SCPD for disrupting local Suffolk County FD & EMS agency radios systems, as well as setting off dtmf/return tones/sirens from his makeshift console. He had alot & some decent radio equipment. "great guy" huh?

to answer your question on source mall/roosevelt field mall security frequency/pl info, try the frequencies listed above or take your scanner to the mall and use the spectrum sweeper or close call feature to capture the info. also try cityfreq.com for help. I find this website to be the best for reliability.

Your master site
Generally the output tone is the same as the input, especially in business repeater setups. So regardless of the TX tone being shown or not it makes no difference. Therefore, please refrain from 'pissing' on someone else's thread with personal opinions. If we went with this state of mind within the database it would be nothing like how it is now.

This is not open for public debate. PM if you feel you need to argue it.

I've collected quite a bit of information about the malls on LI during several trips there. See these two pages for info about Roosevelt Field, Tanger Outlets, Smith Haven, and Walt Whitman:

Your opinion is noted, don't keep harping on it. The last member who found this objectionable has been banned.

No and No.
We don't delete threads because of some childlike actions or opinions; however, we do enforce the rules everyone agreed to when you joined. That is why one former poster in this thread is on a posting vacation. Now, since you were the OP, I will close this thread for you, but will not delete it. We never delete accounts.
