I've had few request for Lifestar helicopter's base locations and what channels they use.All 5 Lifestar helicopters are dispatched by nextel, and pagers, once in the air they are in contact with American Medical Responce at there Dallas CenCom on Inwood Rd.*
Lifestar 1-Wilson N. Jones(Sherman) AMR(Collin Co) 453.0750(192.8)
Lifestar 2-Metroplex Hospital(Killeen) AMR(TXU Trunk)ID-07-105
Lifestar 3-Majors Field(Greenville) AMR(Collin Co) 453.0750(192.8)
Lifestar 4-Wise Co.Hospital(Decatur) AMR(TXU Trunk)ID-07-105
Lifestar 5-Glen Rose Hospital(Granbury) AMR(Dallas) 453.1750(203.5)
*A senior dispatcher told me that the reason the Lifestar helicopters are on different channels is Killen and Decatur are so far from Dallas that the TXU Trunk is better, and the AMR Dallas channel has so much Ground traffic (BLS/ALS) that they put only 1 helicopter on this channel.AMR Collin County handle the other 2 helicopters.
