I would of guessed 152.420 since they called it "town wide", but if you didn't hear anything, try LCD scene #7 listed for Litchfield. It's 155.8125, DPL of 172. I don't see anything listed specifically for Bantam itself.

I had logged them on 153.9800 D365 at one time (undated in my logs) but may have been replaced by one of those in the list.

That's Roxbury fire who are presently dispatched by NW C-MED, previously LCD. It's also simulcasted on the CLMRN TG 22001. They were actually extremely active this morning with a house fire complete loss.

Townwide is KCU222 Repeater out is 154.100 PL 146.2

It is called Townwide because the repeater is at 1200' elevation in a centrally located area. You can pretty much talk from the farthest corner of Bantam to the farthest corner of Northfield on a 5 watt portable. It's normally used for operations that cover a wide area. (As apposed to the simplex LCD Scene 7 which is usually used for interior fire ops.) Townwide is shared by Litchfield FD, Bantam FD, Northfield FD, ELFD and Litchfield Ambulance.

The KNGH 757 repeater for Public Works 151.040 PL 110.9 is also at the same location as the Townwide repeater. The range of both repeaters is very good.

The 152.420 is Bantam FD's high band repeater. It's located at a much lower elevation and is only 50 watts output. It works well in the Bantam district but doesn't have anywhere near the range of Townwide.

The 158.790 has not been used for anything in probably 25 years. Troopers and constables are all on Troop L's talkgroups on CLMRN.

Wasn't it Litchfield's primary ambulance dispatch frequency back in the day?

It was. Litchfield Ambulance moved off of it when LCD mandated that all services be dispatched on "LCD Dispatch" Somewhere around 2002.

Before the ambulance used it (beginning in the late 1970's), it was the Litchfield Public Works primary frequency. This was in the days before tone coded squelch or "PL" as Motorola patented it. At some point during that history, Tolland Public Works was also granted a license to use it as their repeater out. Due to interference from Tolland, Litchfield PW went away from 154.100 and licensed 151.040 in order to have clean airwaves. Through the years the Town of Litchfield kept up the license on 154.100 and upon introduction of tone coded squelch it was realized that it was a usable frequency in Litchfield again. It was then that Litchfield Ambulance used it until they transitioned to the LCD system. It then became an unused frequency licensed at 100 watts to the Town of Litchfield. The 4 fire departments and the ambulance agreed to use it for its current purpose with the Town of Litchfield being the license holder.

I thought it was, thanks for the history. And I do remember driving through Litchfield back in the day and hearing the troopers talking simplex car to car on the 158.790 as well!!
