Littleton Police Chase
LITTLETON – One shot was fired as two suspects led police on a pursuit Friday causing several traffic accidents, according to the Littleton Police Department.
Investigators say a Littleton Police officer fired at least one gun shot, but they say no one was injured.
Littleton Police say the suspects had outstanding felony warrants and were potentially armed.
Officers first spotted the suspects driving westbound on Littleton Boulevard around 12:30 Friday afternoon in a green Ford Explorer.
The officers tried to stop the suspects' vehicle at West Main Street and South Prince Street in downtown Littleton, but the suspects drove off.
Police pursued the suspects' SUV into Denver. Following several traffic accidents, the pursuit ended at South Santa Fe Drive and West Mississippi Avenue.
The suspects, identified as 30-year-old Ricky Vigil of Denver and 40-year-old Joyce Boleng of Littleton, tried to run away on foot, but didn't get far. The two were apprehended by Denver and Littleton Police officers not far from where the pursuit ended.
Denver Police are investigating the traffic accidents. It's unknown if anyone was injured.
Both Vigil and Boleng were wanted on drug and escape charges. Vigil is also wanted on burglary charges.
Both are being held at the Arapahoe County Jail. The two could face additional charges in connection with the purs
