Hi all
I was listening to liveatc.net as my daughter was coming into asheville on allegiant air when I noticed they offered an app.
I downloaded the android app live atc, it appears to be a pretty neat app.
is anyone else familiar with the app and if so whats your opinion.
thanks.

Yes, I also use it and find it to be really good. Easy to use and good quality sound. I like to use it either at the airport while plane spotting or on the go to listen to different airports AF1 may be landing/departing from.

didn't think of trying to monitor AF1, have you been able to monitor military?

I'm sure you can if they are talking to the ARTCC and the freq is being broadcast, but I've never tried that. I will catch AF1 if I know a time/place it's scheduled to be. Such as in Toledo tomorrow about 6:10pm for AF1 and 4:25pm for AF2, I'd listen to the tower or approach freqs to hear them coming in. You can get the actual scheduled arrival/departure times for AF1 the morning of online at https://factba.se/topic/calendar

I looked at some of these apps and was surprised none of them included DTW or Willow Run but did have many smaller airports with less traffic.
