It would be nice when an alert is posted that it would include the state.

Mark

Why?

Most likely will not happen.

Feed owners assume that you want to listen to the feed no matter where it is located.

The alert message is for a breaking event on the feed so you can be alerted to listen.

If you want the state info, click on the feed description & look at the top of the page that it takes you to. The state is listed there.

If you go to the feed, it will tell you where the action is.

I ment on the alert page so we could see what state was involved so we could decide to listen or not.

Sorry but most likely not going to happen and it is not needed.

Deciding to listen or not is usually based on what the alert message is about, not what state the feed is locate located in.

This is what feed owners assume.

Feed owners are not thinking about weather folks will listen based on State location.

Simply click on the feed description to see the listed state at the top of the page.

Forgot to add that if a feed with an alert message makes it to the top 50 feed list, the state & counties are shown under location.

One reason could be because multiple states have the same counties.
So you could be thinking the event is happening in your county, or the next county over, only to later realize it is happening 800 miles away.

It should be a fairly simple process to add the 'Location' field to the 'alert' page like it already shows on the 'top' page. In fact, the 'alert' page is the only one that doesn't follow the same format as all the other audio pages (Listeners, Location, Feed, Genre, Links, Status). Despite Rich's protests, I really can't see why Lindsay would be opposed to making this change so that the 'alert' page is more in line with the other audio pages.
