Have you visited Colorado premier on-line listening website recently?

www.scandenver.net

There are now 18 live scanner feeds covering much of the state and we are considering adding a few more in the Denver Metro area and have a survey online now, if you could please complete that and express your wishes we will try to get the top voted areas added in the next few weeks.

Remember also that all audio is archived and available if you miss the “big one” and want to come back to listen at your convenience.

Also for anyone interested the Mountain NewsNet, Inc (established 1992) incident pages like you see appear on the website are available directly to any e-mail capable device (cell phone, pda, pager or laptop) please contact me directly further for information and details on that. Join over 500 others across the state who receive incident notification directly and immediately, including all the local media assignment desks. Video to follow at 10pm!

Thanks and your feedback is greatly appreciated,

Gordon, Bill & Jim

That's an awesome number of feeds. I hadn't checked for a few weeks, and there are a few more. It's great to be able to listen almost statewide from my computer.

And we have a survey underway and plan to add a few more in the next week or so based on requests.

I personally especially like the ones such as El Paso County, Trinidad, etc., since I live in Denver and can hear them but not the others.

Also, don't forget on Proscan there are feeds for Mesa County, Glenwood Springs, Rifle and Montrose. These are neat because they show the dispay of the scanner as they scan, so you can tell what channel you're listening to. Also, there appears to be a Sterling Area feed too out there. With all of these changes, is there any "master list" of what is available on Scandenver and elsewhere?

Based on survey results, Aurora PD has been added and I will try to get air-medical and DIA feeds up tomorrow.

Your feedback is helpful.

I noticed in the last 24 hours seems like alot of the areas were offline, to include Denver. I was able to listen to Colorado Springs and El Paso County feeds though, which is nice because they are the next county, community up from me. Just seemed odd that everything else seemed to be unavailable today though.

Indeed Bill is having troubles with his Denver scanners recently but working hard to fix it and I agree many of the other areas are off line, but a lot has to do with the feed provider and there ability to be around to reset now and then which is required.

I noticed the new feeds, does that mean the other feeds from the scandenver survey are a no-go? Or could they come some time in the future. Sure wish I had a decent computer and an extra scanner, I'd love to contribute!

BFD will be back just finding someone local to feed it.

Adams County SO, Broomfield PD, Northglenn PD, Brighton PD and Comm City PD will be added once we can score another 700MHz scanner.

DIA will be added in the future when we get computer space.

Any others you are referring too?

Can an admin make this or a similar post a sticky so that as changes and additions are made to the feeds the info is easy to find?

It's a good site, have been able to pick up the Denver area and Colorado Springs traffic. If I get tired of listening to that and want to go back to local I just turn on my portable and listen to what's happening around Pueblo. Nice change though.

Why don't you host a Pueblo area feed? I'm hosting the Pueblo FD feed, but from Colorado Springs the signal can be quite noisy. Once they go to DTRS (mid-2008), I probably won't be able to host that feed any longer. Pueblo PD and Pueblo SO would be a nice addition.
