I'm not sure if this indicates a problem or not, but when monitoring the Burbank ICIS system with my BCD396T, the LNK indicator stays on for three seconds after the transmission has ended. The sequence during a transmission is: LNK (1 sec), P25 (rest of transmission), LNK (3 seconds after transmission is over).

Can anyone shed any light on this? Do I have something programmed wrong with the system? Or is this a problem with the radio system or scanner? Or is it normal? My concern is that while LNK is on for those final three seconds, the scanner won't move on to other transmissions on the system.

Thanks in advance!

You might check your "System Hold Time" for that system. I bet it's set to three seconds. Click the menu button, then:

Program System > Your System > Edit Sys Option > Set Hold Time

and play with this setting. You can also try adjusting the "Set Delay Time" setting too.

Hope that helps.

Also check to see if your "detect end code" is set to ON.
Its possible the scanner is not set to detect the end code and hanging there.
