Any place in the Phx area to purchase a 436? I know Ham Radio Outlet has them, anyplace else? Not interested in ordering online as I am out of town frequently.

A pawn shop? (Seriously, I think there's even a thread about those who have bought decent, working scanners at pawn shops for a fraction of the cost new.)
Fry's does have one or two scanners. How about Walmart? They will ship to a store for free, and you can piick it up at your convenience. Amazon has them too, and they will get it to you in a day or two from the warehouses right here in town.
