A quick question,

I've been having issues with trying to find local retailers in my area that have Amateur Radio/Scanner/Radio equipment and accessories. I'm wondering if it is appropriate to put links and info to local brick-n-mortar stores in the local area sections of the wiki. If so, also looking for folks to help me add info.

Sacramento area electronics stores

There are so few local places anymore. While you might find certain items at one location, there are some items that no one stocks locally. From memory here's my list:
- Fry's Roseville
- Fry's North Sacramento
- Metro Electronics (downtown)
- HFE Electronics (surplus)

Yeah you can include Radio Shack, but each location varies quite a bit.

The last time I did business with them was just about a year ago. It must have happened quickly. Thanks for that heads up. I bought parts there to build isolation devices for connecting scanners into computer sound cards. Certainly they did have a broad selection of stuff.

Yeah, they were a lovely place to putter around for a bit.

I went to Metro last week to get some bits and bobs and enjoyed myself, but unfortunately they had almost NOTHING in the way of antennae, and other radio accessories. :( I did get half of a fox/hound set (hound) for $5 (wire tracer)
