Location,Location,Location

Is it my location or are some of you seeing the same thing? As some of you know I am on a hill in Castle Rock and for my daytime scanning I am using a Radio Shack 800 MHz rubber duck on 30' of RG6u that is on the roof. Ok, I am getting tons of good comms from the Holly and the Beaver Creek sites. I live in an area with lots of PD and State Patrol and SO, This seems to be 24 hour a day, over 70% on the meter off of those towers.
Is this by chance or have those towers power been increased? It has been this way for over six months.

The channels are reused. You are likely hearing Lookout Mtn instead of Holly and Smoky Hill instead of Beaver Creek.

I live almost line of site to the Smoky hill site. It booms into my scanner. I am just using the 25 -30$ radio shack antenna, much to the disappointment of my HOA :evil:
