Just curious what you guys use for logging your SW BCB/Utility/MW catches? I was surfing the net and didn't really find exactly what I was hoping for...

I'm looking for something simple and yet some minor features like organizing by country, time, freq would be useful. I'm not looking for the shack-in-a-box logging software where you have 5 cables connected to the computer. I don't need satellite maps of every hit, etc.

Right now, I'm just using MS Wordpad to log my catches but it's growing tiresome. Excel is another option but I want to see what's out there first.

I'm using plain old notepad.
I have to manually type in freq, then I press F5 to enter date/time and finally type my notes.
For sending logs to the mailing lists I convert to UTC but no big deal.

When I am using my RX320, I use the companion DB320 program (it's part of the old Scan320 program) as my logger. Since this program also formats logs in the manner NASWA requires, it makes an easy way to generate logs for the Flashsheet or the NASWA Yahoo list.

I really enjoy and promote DXtreme reception Log: DX Logging Software for Ham Radio & SWL

I have been using it for years, tried every other package that comes along and STILL use it. I love the QSL card and recording features.

It is simple and comprehensive. Heck, how would you like to send a QSL in French or Portuguese?

Check out the tour on their web site. I think you will be very satisfied!
