Does anyone know the Air to Air frequency (118 Mhz - 136 Mhz AM) used for "Practice Area Traffic" in the area of the Union Reservoir just east of Longmont?
It's in the area of the Weld / Boulder County line north of Hwy 119.

Most of the flight schools out of Rocky Mountain Metro Airport (BJC) seem to loiter over this area and they have a common frequency to advise their intentions while training. I'd come across this once scanning, but seem to have lost my notes.

Shooting from the hip here, but because of the proximity of Vance Brand, I'd be monitoring 122.975 which is the CTAF for that field. I'm not seeing anything charted for that area frequency wise like it is on the south side of the metro area.

I have most of the local airport CTAF freqs and some of the common BS freqs - 123.45 - in my radio and i don't recall ever hearing anything out there. I live on the north Denver Metro area and listen when I'm in the vehicle all of the time.

Thanks .... I've heard many planes registered to McAir Aviation out of BJC come up there pretty much continually. They'll call out "Practice area traffic, Cessna N123AZ is over Union Reservoir, 8,000 feet slow flight Pratice Area Traffic" ...etc.... There are great publications for the practice areas out of Centennial, but I haven't found any for up north.

When I listened to CTAF for LMO all I heard was that airfield and the sky diving operations. All that combined made me wonder when a plane and chute are going to meet up.

It's 123.175. Also used to the west in the Rabbit Mountain area northwest of Longmont.
