Recent transplant to St John's County, FL from NJ where I was in the fire service for about 25 years. Looking for any buff groups in the northeast FL area (forums, GroupMe, Twitter, Facebook) that cover fire/rescue incidents in the local area.

Welcome to the sunshine state. Don't know of any local buff groups, but Duval, St Johns and Flager Fire-Rescue are all in the clear so enjoy. SO's are ENC.

Ive got an SDR Scanner setup for Duval - would like to get one in St Johns County also if you have any interest in that. DM me and I can send you the link for the Duval Scanner.

I found FB groups where some post what they hear on the scanner. Try searching your county and town/city name followed by "community watch, neighbors, scanner" or similar.
Also, check the web page for area departments. Some have online CAD or alert notifications you can sign up for.

FB has a page for St. Johns County SO & St. Johns County Fire Rescue

I've been in St Johns Co for 8 years and am also a retired firefighter from NJ. There are no buff groups and FB notifications of incidents is sketchy. You may be interested in this group: Log into Facebook.
Incident Page Network usually posts working incidents.

nc, recently moved to jax, FL
FB has groups for Nassau, (GA) Charlton, Camden (Facebook Groups) and going up I95 to Savannah of buff/scanner groups. Im one of the moderators for the lower GA ones.

I dont know of any FB "groups" for anywhere else around. Baker & Macclenny FDs are clear and on broadcastify. Bradford is on BC as well, and they have their own FB page that often posts incidents and pictures.

Clay is clear but currently not fed. Clay recently started using Pulsepoint so you can get dispatch and unit assignments on all calls.

JFRD has a great PIO twitter feed for big incidents as well.

Nassau is not in the clear.

IPN as stated by @jeff is very active in the area. Besides myself, theres probably half a dozen dispatchers in the greater Jax metro area. You can get our posts free (albeit delayed) on BC. Or feel free to look into dispatching. I dont think we have a SJC primary dispatcher right now.
