Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the DMR world and I just received my first radio (DM 1701) about two weeks ago.

I have two area (Hamilton and Peterborough) that I have programmed into the radio but I can not seem to receive anything. I have been watching a lot of code plug videos I'm sure I have it right. Does anyone have a working code plug for ether of those two areas that might be able to help me out?

I'm sure I'm missing some information that would help you guys help me. Just ask away.

Thank you
Charlie

Thank you! very good read!

I'm sorry, I should not have just asked for code-plugs that would look like I'm just looking for work free info. I have been working on my code-plug for about two weeks now with no success.

Lately I have been able to get the radio to receive a digital signal but with no audio. I'm able to see the radio ID of the radio talking and if I turn on "promiscuous mode" I'm able to see CC TG SL however still no audio.
I was asking for Code-plugs for Hamilton / Peterborough area in order to compare them with mine in order to find what my error was. So far the only RX i have had (with no audio) has been on a business channel nothing on the Amateur group.

I have tried to upload my code-plug but it looks like the file does not have an allowed extension.

Any idea's what I maybe missing?

Charlie

Change the file extension to .ZIP or create a .zip archive with the codeplug in it.

Sounds like maybe you are forgetting to set the repeater Color Code (like CTCSS). Look up the repeater on RadioReference database or Repeaterbook site and you will see beside it the ( CC 0-9) ex. CC,1 then you might be able to activate the repeater. You will also if it is DMR, Dstar, Fusion(C4DFM) or P25.

Yes, look at other code plugs but you have to click the the repeater setup to enter the freq to see all the other settings in the channels!
You'll have to build the Talk group list first then the channels and they will need the contact (talk group) ,repeat the repeater info into a channel for each talk group you want on that repeater!

I have the Anytone AT D878UV and I'm not familiar with your radio's code plu, but it should be similar !

Hope this helps...Enjoy Ron Ve3lvv

I think I have all that information entered correctly. I'm hoping my codeplug I have uploaded will show what I have done right or wrong.

Thanks guys for your feed back!

Sorry Charlie, my Anytone CPS 1.15 won't load your code plug. It comes up "Program Error", probably not a compatible band plan.

Try downloading a code plug from the Miklor site that matches your model of radio and compare it to your settings

In the Peterborough area I was trying to get on the DMR-MARC Ontario Amateur Repeater Network but also monitor North Kawartha Fire. (or anything else in North Kawartha)

I have downloaded the code plug from Miklor and compared it to my and I don't see a difference in the setup.

I have been in touch with tech support and emailed them my code plug. I'll just wait and see what they say.

Hello,

After talking with tech support I sent the DH1701 back and ordered a TYT MD-UV380 / UV390, however it must be something I'm doing because this one is acting the same way. I key up on a DMR repeater and the TX LED will flash for about 3 sec's (or so), then I get what sounds like an error tone.
I have not had any evidence of any RX from the repeaters. Now, when I try and monitor (RX only) a commercial channel I get evidence of RXing from both LED and front display but no sound at all.

Can anyone confirm if the Hamilton or Peterborough DMR Repeaters are operational? Is it possible that it is a problem with my ID # (I should be able to RX just not TX) I can key up the Analog repeaters and hear the repeater tail as well as conversations.

Does anyone else have a TYT MD-UV380 / UV390 that can look at my codeplug?

Hello W2XQ

I have zipped and sent my codeplug. Thank you for taking a look. I'm not using a hotspot (yet) I'm trying to work off two repeaters one in my home town (Hamilton Ontario) and the other near my in-laws (Peterborough Ontario).
