looking for HF comms aircraft

a few years back i would listen to aircraft on about 8MHZ.
i had a old analog tuner then now i have a ditigal read out.
anyone know where to start? i may be tuning to fast between 8 to 9mhz.
i am looking for a starting point.

That's a pretty thin description, but I suspect you were listening to MWARA stations. The links for that, and more, are here (anything in blue is a link...)

Don't tune so fast. Take your time - and understand a bit about how propagation is affecting you. You'll quickly learn what freqs might be active vs. ones that are likely to be closed to your location.

San Francisco Radio uses 8843 kHz USB. You can also hear them on 5547, 5574, 6673, 10057, 11282 and 13354 in the Central East Pacific. They are all used in a daily basis and will have excellent signals into Oxnard.

Yep, that's one of the MWARA SP freqs as shown on the HF Underground map...best regards..Mike

In the North Pacific I've noticed San Francisco using 8951 and 5628 recently.
