I have 6 continuous coverage radios and want to explore some alternatives to listening to Police/Fire/Rescue. A while back I was listening to some of the Mil-Air activity from Avon Park range, some federal gov and found some interesting activity.

Do you have any frequencies to share that can get me re-started with my monitoring activities? I live in Pinellas county and have a discone @20' and it performed well at picking up various services in the past. I cannot locate my database I used to use for all my frequencies so I am starting over again. I have all major airport frequencies already, but looking for unique, interesting activity that is not listed on the database here.

Appreciate any help that can be offered.

Only you, by searching are going to know what YOU can hear in your area.
Search 30-50 (still, Mil and Businesses), 150.8000-162.0000, add VHF Marine
450-470 Public Safety, Business Band, FRS, GMRS..the list is really unlimited

I have been in radio since 72 so I am familiar with region-specific capabilities. I have spent a lot of time using the "search" feature with limited success the past month. I posted my message to see if others could share their experiences or frequencies because of my limited search success. I have found that a lot of the air band, military & government traffic is not always specific to a particular location as they can cover greater distances than typical public service traffic, so I welcome suggestions from out of the area.

Thank you to the others who shared their info with this thread. I look into the resources and go from there. If there is interest, I will share what I find.
