We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. I'm looking to upgrade one of my scanners. I currently have a BC780xlt that I was possibly looking into replacing with a BC15. Is this BC 15 an upgrade? i know it has the dynamic allocation of 2500 channels etc. It seems to be a BC 780 upgrade?? Who has one and are you happy with its performance? you can message off list if you wish to go into greater detail.

It's a big upgrade from the 780XLT in my opinion. In fact, I'd say it's more of a downgrade from a 996T because it has no digital, fewer memory slots, ,and is missing a few bells and whistles. I will make a fine replacement for the 780XLT.

I just replaced my bc780 with a bct15. I love it! I even had an old GPS laying around to hook to it for the location based scanning. Well worth the $$ in my opinion.
