I was awake and listening to it on 3 different scanners. They weren't communicating directly. An officer in Rocky River would tell dispatch "Tell Lorain..." and then I would hear it from the LPD dispatcher over their channel about 3-5 seconds later. My guess is they had an open landline during the chase itself at least. At several times they were going over 100 MPH down Lake rd. through Sheffield Lake, Avon Lake, and Bay Village, all of whom joined the chase in their respective jurisdictions. Spiked stop sticks is what finally got him, but he was STILL going over 60 on a front tire-less rim.

I also listened using broadcastify, when the chase ended in the backyard in Rocky River, it was made note that Lorain couldn't hear their dispatch with their radios or something if tht sort... but by then they were stationary and plenty of other officers to relay Lorain PDs traffic back to their dispatch center.
