Apparently there's something going in the west part of the county. A lot of Sheriff Office units heading that way. I'm getting a lot of encrypted traffic on TG 1848. Anyone know what's going on?

Sounds like a hostage situation. Also received an alert via email:

"13000 Block of Berlin Pike in Lovettsville is closed both in directions due to police activity

I received a page from Incident Page earlier that there was a subject barricaded and has taken shots at officers.

Loudoun County, Virginia- A nearly two hour barricade situation near Lovettsville ended Friday afternoon without serious incident.

Shortly after 12 PM Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home in the 13500 block of Berlin Turnpike after the agency received an outside call of a possible suicidal subject at a residence.

A short time after 1:30 PM the man was taken into custody. He is being held on an emergency protective order pending a mental evaluation. Possible criminal charges are being investigated by members of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.

Members of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), the Hostage Negotiations Team, the Loudoun County Bomb Squad, and personnel from the Loudoun County Department of Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
