The Yaesu VX-8R is a great feature rich hand held. It does it all and does it well. Sometimes it seems the best of things leave the basics far behind. Like the stock belt clip? Not sure how Yaesu thought this was going to pass as acceptible. I've come up with a nice solution. A replacement belt clip that requires no drilling and uses the existing holes in the battery to securely fasten a swiveling, lockable, quick release belt clip. Wish I could post some photos or even video here but you can see what I'm talking about at: HamClips.com. The current price is $16.97 shipped Cont. US. A nice under $20 accessory for one of the nicest HTs out right now!
