LPE-200 battery contacts

I have an LPE 200 and one of the battery contacts appears to be broken.
It is only about 10% of the length of the other 2 pins. It is the +ve battery contact on the radio itself.

Anyone got some tips for how to fix?

Depending on the level of debris or corrosion in the contact assembly, you may be able to clean it out. Shoot some electronic tuner cleaner on the contacts, let it drip into the contact assembly, and tap on the spring loaded contact. Apply more cleaner while doing this so as to flush out any debris that's blocking it from working smoothly.

If that's not successful, get a scrapper radio with good contacts, get out your trusty soldering iron, and commit parts swapping surgery.

It seems that one of the pins is completely broken - only about 10% of the size of the other two.
I'll see if I can find a dud radio somewhere and take the pin from it. Or perhaps I can have a piece of metal soldered on to make the pin longer again...

That second option really isn't an option at all. Find a scrapper radio with the same pins and transfer over the pins.

The same pin assembly is found in any Jaguar portable or P5100 or P7100 series radio in addition to any LPE-50 or LPE-200. It should be easy to find a scrapper with good pins, on ebay or from someone here.
