Pre P-25 this is/was “Luzerne County Fire & Ambulance”. It was mainly used for landing zones for helos and as a backup EMS or sometimes fire zone if the main fire channel had a major incident on it. All companies not working the incident would be told to to switch to Fire and Ambulance until the call cleared.
No longer in full time use because of the new P-25 system but you will still occasionally hear it in use for LZs. They’ll patch the helicopters in on F&A with the ops channel on the P-25 system.
