LZ1AQ Loop Material

What material are most using to make their LZ1AQ loop? I was considering trying to locate some aluminum tubing and making a 1M loop like the Wellbrook loops, but wonder if regular wire will work just as well? Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks.

Given where you live, and assuming you are going to put the loop outside, the aluminum tubing would be a far better choice. I have seen anecdontal evidence that the tubing may actually perform better (folks have been experimenting with this on the MLA30 Experimenter's FB page) but I can't seem to put my finger on why. But it would almost certainly survive the elements better than some thin wire loop
