I live in a golf course community and the golf club is licensed for a UHF repeater with NFM modulation (11K2F1D and 11K2F3E). While I have never heard them talk on it in the year I have lived here I often get a machine-gun sounding pulse for a couple seconds at a time here and there.
The license only generically states that they "WILL USE RADIOS TO BETTER COORDINATE OUR ACTIVITIES.". No indications of any type of sprinkler control or other digital use is indicated.
Any ideas whether the machine gun sounding stuff could be used for anything? Has anyone heard of a system like this that might be used for sprinkler control or other use?
