Hi Gary. Thanks for sharing the TGID. What method did you use to find it? I typically use the Uniden Discovery process to look for new talk groups.

I have a spreadsheet thats been in the works for sometime with known and unknown RID’s. I use this along with a wildcard and search for the unknown TGID’s and compare the RID’s against known RID’s logged on Dispatch and of course when able will listen to confirm.

Pro651/197 and WS1065
ARC500 and Win500

Question, has anyone logged any TGID’s ambulance to hospital communications. I know in the past it could be heard prior t the county going digital. I’m primarily interested in Oneida city hospital. Thanks

Madison County needs to progress to modern times, then. Roads need to be named and mapped, and addresses assigned to parcels. Just like other rural counties in the 9-1-1 age.

Well Dave, they’ve done just that. The problem is that even though everything now has a 911 address, not everyone wants to use it. There are people that still to this day live in this County with no power... And I’m not referring to the Amish, although we do have a large population of Amish folk that do not have access to municipal phone services.

I believe the control channel for the CNYICC Madison Simulcast is now 460.475 MHz instead of 460.400 MHz as shown in the RR database. Can someone else confirm this? And what are the alternate control channels now?

I ran unitrunker to confirm... 460.475 is the new CC and alternates are 460.35, 460.4 & 460.45

Thanks Andy. I submitted the updates for the RR database to see that it was already changed. Fast service!

I've updated the control channel assignment for Madison County, most importantly flagging 460.350 as an alternate. Just note that control channels can and do roll from time to time, so don't be too concerned with the "primary" vs "alternate" flagging in the RRDB. We're not going to keep changing the database for every roll. As long as all possible control-capable channels are flagged as such, that's fine. Always remember to program all control-capable channels into your scanners as well.

If someone can verify the control channel assignments for Cayuga and Oswego, that would be helpful. Cayuga currently shows no alternates (there should be three) and Oswego only shows one alternate (there should be two more).

This is the Oswego County P25 system:
460.0875
460.1625
460.2000
460.3000s
460.3250s
460.3750c
460.5500s

This information was derived from a quick assembly of DSDPlus Fastlane using a RTL-SDR. During my quick check of the system, DSDPlus didn't log any activity on 460.0375 or 460.0750. I will check again when things get busy during the day. All of my decent cables and connectors are sitting in my office in Rome, so this was a hack job. I'm surprised how well it worked. :D

I can't help with the Cayuga County system because I seldom see a reliable signal (if at all) from there.

Why is there so much Onondaga and Oneida County traffic on the Madison system? I hear TG-1 (Onondaga), TG-65035 (Oneida), and others while tuned to the Madison County control channel on 460.475 MHz. I recently noticed this behavior while playing around with a new Pi 4 system running OP25. I'm happy with the OP25 installation/configuration, but I wasn't expecting to hear all of this neighboring county traffic.
