Does anyone have an updated list of TGs and their uses for the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area? There are a lot more then the ones listed in the database.
I live in Mammoth, however, I've not figured out how to program the system into my 325P2. I'm losing some cognitive functioning and tried, but failed, to load the database into the scanner. If I could I would be listening every day. I would imagine they have a channel lineup that is similar to the old system, but I don't know that. I think the channel (talkgroups) would be grouped into the same functions, ski patrol, admin, hosts, lift maintenance, electrical, snow placement (snowmaking and plowing), gondolas ops, slope maintenance, race, unbound, sports schools (3: Main Lodge, Canyon Lodge and Eagle Lodge), events, security, Snowmobile Adventures, building maintenance, staff housing, telecommunications staff, shuttle busses, and possibly some of the lodging/retail properties Mammoth Mountain operates. The latter function might be on a UHF business system though. I just haven't done the legwork to figure out the UHF system at each major lodging facility.
It has snowed so much that we only recently started to clear some of the ice and snow from decks and porches. There has been so much shoveling and trying to keep doors functioning inside due to so much weight on the roof. I haven't been real enthusiastic about delving into winter "stuff" because so much of it has come our way.
I know a lot of the voices of people I know who work for the mountain and what their radio callsigns are so that will help me figure out the talkgroups at some point. I also know the type of traffic that would be grouped into the channels that show up on their radios. I used to have a contact at the mountain that could send me documents that listed the channels and callsigns, but no more. I might have a chance to contact someone else that I used to be much closer to, but he might get a bit grumpy about sharing stuff. I will think about trying that person anyway. Sorry I don't have anything to offer.
