BCD396XT/BCD996XT: Manual entering frequencies

Hi, I was looking for some info on entering the frequencies into a uniden BCD 996 xt scanner. Any info will be.greatly appreciated, good and bad.. thanks I advance.

I have a 396T which I'm sure Uniden treats yours the same way:

While scanning, or on an analog frequency, press hold--enter the desired frequency--press hold again. Enjoy
