Can anyone explain or point me to a web page that explains how to program freqs. Im not to clear on the input freq. When I program my scanner what order should I put the freqs in. Or does it matter ? I see where they have the main freq and then a input freq. Does the input go before the main freq or visa versa ?

It depends on what scanner you have.

In general, you won't program in the "input" frequencies as those are used for repeater operation.

so the repeater frequencies should all be in a seprate bank ?
Probably 99 percent of everything You have ever listened to on a scanner WAS coming from repeaters. Don't confuse yourself with the term 'repeater', just enter the output frequency or 'main frequency' as you called it.
Just enter the freqs in the banks like you always have in the past, as far as an order in which you put them in your scanner, that is up to you. A lot of people enter the frequencies from lowest to highest or vice versa.
