So where I live is right on the border between two fairly large counties.
Ventura and Los Angeles.

On my HP2 even at 1mi range it loads 1300+ channels. So once it's scanning how do I press on the top bracket where it says full database in small white letters, and select a certain city there?

You see I'm used to my BCD396XT Where I have banks with sub banks with channels in each one. For an example I have Ventura county as one bank and inside that is each city with pd and fd than one sub bank with our county fire dispatch and tac and cmd channels. Than with bank2 is LAPD with that all sorted out "took FOREVER btw". Anyways I'd really like to master the HP2 as 10 years ago I had the HP1 and liked it except for the color and a few other things.

Oh you'll see in this photo the top selection I want to be able to select what I want...View attachment 122841
Your photo shows that you have LACOSO on "locked".. to move this to the another agency press the arrow to the right a sub screen will pop up and press "next or previous" to move to next agency. You can do this for all 3 lines (system(top)-department(mid)-channel(bot). It would behoove you to use sentinel and make a favorites list of the systems and departments you want to monitor.

thank you for the hint on the PREV and NEXT, I totally spaced out and missed those!
Last night i created a bunch of favorite lists ad figured out how to choose them rather quickly. I appreciate the helpful replys.

i am waiting on a Ram dash mount, a 12' cigarette lighter adapter and a extended coiled mini usb to usb cable from Amazon, which you cant beat price or times as all 3 were ordered last night, and i will be able to complete a mobile install with the GPS kit
