• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Can anyone tell me if the Maplewood Twp First Aid Squad is using the same frequency as the fire department?

Do they still use 8-X designators and are they still located on Boyden Ave?

Thanks
Paul

AT night their primary freq is cencom's their ID# are 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 when they are on PD channels. All other times they use cencom assigned #'s which are 1681, 1682, 1683.

Does anyone have Maplewood's Channel 2 for PD???

One of you who know the frequency for Maplewood EMS should post it on the RR Database, as there is no EMS frequency listed for them. The database is a very valuable tool that everyone can use to avoid asking questions about a certain frequency they need. They can go there and find the information. We all need to contribute to the database anytime we get new information about frequencies.
