What is the "Marcus system homeland security"? I heard of Marcus and Marcus having their own proprietary for-hire repeater system,,,but is there more to know about who, what, where, when, and how as it relates to "Marcus"? Your response(s) will be greatly appreciated.

Short answer, it has absolutely nothing to do with homeland security. It is a privately owned commercial radio system.
It's called "Homeland Defense Network" and it sounds cool. It's the same as One Voice, Industrial Comm and Electronics, regional trunks.

One more question: I take it they use a proprietary system? or a commercial system? I make reference to EDACS and the like or is it a straight Motorola type system (p25 and the like)?
