Does this thing ever go off? I had my pro-2067 set on the Weather Alert on a Wednesday and it went off for a test. My Pro-96 set to 4013 has not gone off. Even a few weeks ago with all the rain and possible floods, constantly saw a flood watch on TV and NOAA web page, it has never gone off. Is this the right code? Anybody else experience the same?
I have since sold the 2067, but with the radio set as Wx priority while scanning or manual mode on the wx-7 with the fips code on it has never gone off.

According to: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/psr/general/same/index.php you have the correct code. I haven't tried it myself as I get weather alerts via pager. Tomorrow may be good for severe weather, I'll give it a try on mine.

I thought about programing another county in there like Yuma or La Paz, but that would kind of defeat the point unless it tells you on the display what county it is for. I am going to leave it on all night again and see, along with tomorrow.

Well it went off for the sever t-storm warning this afternoon @ 13:20. The only problem was the tone that they used to set it off keep going in the back round. I had to turn it off then back on realy quick to hear what it was for. So that Fips code does work, and works while scanning with the weather set as Pri.

OK now I have a question. Before I had a scanner that was able to dot he same code when I heard the tone I knew it was and weather alert. When my scanner went off for the tornado warning it did it again. The alert went off, I hit the "WX" button and alls I got was the tone coming over. I had to turn the scanner off then turn it back on to hear the alert. Am I doing something wrong or is my scanner messed up?

Anybody have the same problem????? On my 2067 I hit the "wx" to hear the alert after it went off. Is this not the same for the 96?

I got this off of another web page.

In the United States, the NWS broadcasts a test alert every week on Wednesday between 11 AM and 1 PM.

Also the same code for Maricopa is 004013. I do not know if it makes a diffrence or not to the 4013 I first posted.

OK, mine is set up and waiting. I will let you know what happens. I entered the code as 004013 like you posted. I'm curious myself whether this will work or not.
