this is cool, I checked it out... possibly MCSO down the road ?? maybe, maybe not... MCSO has gone to silent mode dispatching, more and more MDT communications being used for a majority of non-emergency incidents. Silent dispatch means that the majority of calls that you DO hear, will be the more involved calls, weeding out the boring comms.

I was brought up to speed by a relyable source. Silent dispatch is most likely here to stay in Marion County as far as the Sheriff's Office is concerned.

just wanted to ask if there is any special way to program Marion/ Ocala in my 396T scanner
i live in polk county and will be passing thro there next week just wanted to make sure Thanks for any help

nothing really special about programming the MCSO trunk system... the RR Database is up tp date, the TGID's are correct, therefore, I would say a fast n easy way would be to download the trunk system into your scanner using scanner programming software. Thats how I do it, I use interface software for both my scanners and I love it. Have a fun trip my friend.
