No, a system does not need to be "marked" for inclusion in the HP-1; however, the system type is not able to be monitored by an HP-1; it is now a TDMA X-2 system. I am not sure about the PSR-700, but it is included in the PSR-800 radio and reportedly can be monitored by that radio. I cannot verify the ability to monitor (I am nowhere near Maryland), but I do know that it is included in the radio because I just check my library on the radio.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Actually, quite a few of the talkgroups are FDMA. My Pro96, BCD396T and PSR600 have no problems with it. If you found this system in your HP1, please let me know where to look as mine has this week's DB but only shows the old EDACS system for PG. I do see that someone tagged a bunch of talkgroups yesterday though...

Okay, I think we are saying the same thing but from different perspectives. I never said that it was in the HP-1 database, indeed that is the problem; I said it was in the PSR-800 DB.

I understand that there are still regular P25 TGs on the system, the problem is that since Uniden controls what they download for inclusion into the HP-1 DB, they are not downloading the system since it became X2 TDMA. That needs to be addressed with Uniden, I would suspect a post on the Uniden forum, or in the HP forum on the Uniden site would get a better response. We here at RadioReference just put what is in the DB and have no control over what is downloaded by anyone.

Guess I could have read that better. That answer is exactly what I was looking for! Good thing I ordered an 800 too for good measure. I will post in the HP forums too as suggested.

I should mention, I downloaded both those systems yesterday thru ARC-Sentinel and added them to my HP1 and they work fine. It would be nice if Uniden would include them.

Apparently the Uniden forum suggests its the database's fault. Is there any way to change the system type to Project 25 Phase I (FDMA) instead of Project 25 Motorola X2-TDMA? Or maybe put it in the DB twice? There has to be a solution other than entering it into a favorites list. I figured with the HP1 depending on the RRDB to survive there would be less of a disconnect between the manufacturer and the data provider.

I am not quite sure why the Uniden forum would suggest it is the DB that is in error. Does the system have TDMA signals on it? If so, then the DB is correct. Whereas I am sure it is mixed mode, I am not sure why it should make a difference to the folks at Uniden. They need to adapt their download to include the new system type. It apparently doesn't make any difference to the HP-1 (since you forced it in with Butel's software) so it makes no sense that they are ignoring the system type.

We are not going to put a system in twice just to suit a failing on Uniden's part, just as we are not altering the database in other ways to suit the HP-1 alone. The DB was in place before the HP-1 and Uniden decided to design the radio around the concept of using the database as a source.
