Why is their dispatch audio SO overdriven? It's unreadable at times. There's no way that's what it sounds like on the officers radio.

I dunno, perhaps the gain on CALCOMM's mic is on high. I'm just glad that they're still in the clear (at least, for now).

Yes I agree with them being overdriven and it seems that Sauk Village dispatch is almost the same,....

If possible listen to it directly on a scanner, it is a good bet that the feed provider has an issue rather than the agency itself.

Seems like their mic gain is mostly all the way up (As said.) which sometimes messes up the SDR’s capturing audio especially if the TG you are monitoring is Phase II which decodes very deep unlike Phase I. I had my G5 compared to this which surprisingly did well processing the audio. I believe the APX would do the same as well.

They sound great on my APX. Sauk village sound good as well
