I would say seldom. I am running Uniden radios, that very quickly says encrypted before it resume scanning, but I get a lot of traffic and have yet to see the encrypted word pop up.
Ok and I see RR notes the MPSCS is primary for communications for PD, FD and EMS but there are some VHF conventional for FD and EMS and Marquette City PD. Are those used at all or is everything on the MPSCS? thanks.

154.4 is active for paging out. The other channels I don't have programed because I believe that they are low wattage tac channels. I'm about 50 miles away so I hate to say that they are or are not being used. Marq City PD definitely uses MPSCS
