i was wondering about the county channel of 158.850, and all the other towns main ops. the local repeaters, are they tied to the main repeater of 158.850 or are they just local frequencies, like car-car or something?

158.850 PL 91.5 Dukes Cnty Police Ch 1
166.250 PL 91.5 was added back on 1/12/04
The two base stations are simply cross-patched together at the
Chilmark tower site (conversation from 158.850 is now transmitted out
166.250 & vice versa).

IIRC there was more recent info about this - 154.01 and 166.25 are the freqs of interest - one of them is a remote receiver site but the other one is a linked repeater - something like that - bottom line, the two freqs are used in different ways (FB2 vs FX2 or whatever)

I dont know how the local freqs are used. The local PDs might have a secretary / dispatcher on duty during the weekdays to handle local comms. AFAIK - all 911 calls go to the Dukes County Comm Center at the airport, and are dispatched by the County Comm Center via 158.85 or via a fire / ems channel. Peter Sz
