The inaugural Maryland Fleet Week will be held in the Baltimore Region from October 10-17. There was some discussion in another thread about this and thought it would be good to have one central thread.

From what I have heard testing and systems used in the past during Sailabration, I would expect the following to be used:

Maryland FiRST
Baltimore City System
CMARC
Marine/USCG Frequencies
Air Show Frequencies
700mhz Aviation/Medevac/Air Frequencies (used during the air show last time).

Rgr that should be busy week..
I check on APRS Finland website at times to log vessels in and out of area.
Assume some Navy vessels will transit C+D canal near here as well..
Sometimes US Navy ships will show name on APRS and others just say USS ship etc.
Zoom in and out and move around etc to track vessels and set your home area location.
Zoom in on Balt harbor for lots of ships..

I upload to aprs.fi when I can. I'll try to let my AIS setup run as much as I can during this event.

Blue Angels usually do a practice show the day before the big show when they are in Annapolis, wonder if they'll do one in Baltimore on Friday.

Yeah that would be their normal routine.. I would bet on it.
Guess will be inbound Martin State by Thursday afternoon.. Maybe hit home at Pensacola

Chit-chat between moored commercial shipping - you get it from time-to-time when there are ships in the Annapolis anchorage.

FiRST Talkgroups Activity:
MD Tac-4 - Various Command Personnel/Units Testing
MD Tac-6 - Patch from Baltimore City System
MDTAP BWI Airport Tac
MDTAP Detachment Commanders
8271 - Unknown - Marine 1?
8272 - Unknown - Marine 2?
8273 - Unknown - Marine 3?

There was some discussion on another talkgroup about Marine Talkgroups being added recently. I think those might be it?

K3ARS is over by Chestertown, by the Kent County Detention Center. They have a pretty good range, but apparently they have trouble hearing Inner Harbor boats, and apparently there isn't as much data being provided on aprs.fi as Marinetraffic.com, etc. Since I switched from using Shipplotter to decode to AISRecWin, and upgraded to one of the new V3 dongles (Buy RTL-SDR Dongles (RTL2832U) - rtl-sdr.com) my range increased dramatically.

The beacon on the top right is just east of Philadelphia, but the weather today made that happen...I don't see it all the time. The one on the bottom left is Mt. Vernon/Fort Belvoir area. 78A is down by Prince Frederick.

I see your feed is up and running on Fi very well.Normally see K3ARS feed of ships near Baltimore
but guess your location has that area covered well.
