Mc Connell AFB "new" P25 Trunked system

McConnell AFB TRS

I was in Wichita recently determined to find a Trunked system for McConnell.
And I did.
I think.

On 162.6125 (one of the prior discrete freqs) I heard a continuous P25 control signal, with a NAC of 57C.
What is odd is that while I had 99% Signal Strength, there was no info displayed on my WS1065 with a SID, nor a RFSS or Site # - all were zero.
Can there be a Trunked system without a SID showing?
Apparently, YES.

Voice freqs in the TRS were:
163.5125
163.565
163.575
164.500
165.065
165.1625
165.1875

Talkgroups included: 539, 559, 573, 586, and 611 in my brief scanning/searching time.
RIDs seen were 4 digits, mostly in the 5000 series, with a few 6000 & 7000 seen.

More work is needed to flesh this out.
Anyone in Wichita up to the task?

I just moved back to Tulsa a month ago but when I lived there I noticed that yes it's a P25 Phase 2 system that is mostly if not all encrypted.

Glad to hear it. I think the problem was that I was on the other side of town and couldn't hear it very well.
